Course Description
This 2.5 hour course covers the science that explores the mechanisms of how manual therapy works as well as what contributes to the clinical outcomes we observe in practice.
This course will help you hone your skills at helping people in many evidence-based ways, in addition to the passive modalities you already successfully employ. This course is for those who are keen to modernize their knowledge base and align the narratives that they deliver with the current evidence base.
Here is a small sampling of the questions the course looks to answer:
→ How much of a positive clinical outcome is due to the modality that I perform on a person?
→ How much of a positive clinical outcome is due to other factors such as natural history, placebo, etc.?
→ How does manual therapy work? Are we ‘realigning’ things? Are we ‘releasing’ things? etc.
→ What should I be telling people that I am doing when I perform manual therapy on them?
